Rabbinic Intern/Youth Director - Sarah Marion

Sarah is in her third year of rabbinical school at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She was raised in Westchester, New York, and was an active member of her senior youth group at Temple Israel of Northern Westchester.
Sarah attended Brandeis University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2008 with degrees in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and Women's and Gender Studies. Upon graduation, she was inducted in the Phi Beta Kappa society and earned the Giller-Sagen award for an outstanding senior paper in Women's and Gender Studies.
Prior to entering rabbinical school, Sarah served as a full-time youth educator at Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, MA. In this role, she coordinated and supervised formal and informal learning programs for students in grades K-7 and collaborated with clergy and professional staff to envision and create congregational programs and initiatives for children, teens, and adults. She has also worked at Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York City, teaching and coordinating its 8th/9th grade Mitzvah Corps program.
Sarah has also spent several summers at the Union for Reform Judaism's Eisner and Crane Lake Camps, where she has served as counselor, Jewish education specialist, and unit head.
Aside from her studies and professional endeavors, Sarah enjoys cooking, yoga, and cheering on the Yankees. Sarah lives in Park Slope with her husband, Seth, and they are thrilled to be a part of the Temple Sinai community.
