Originally from New Jersey, Cantor Micah now lives in Riverdale with her husband, Benjamin, a rabbi at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Manhattan, and their daughter Ayalah. Cantor Micah serves the Temple Sinai community by leading worship services with Rabbi TelRav, teaching music and conducting learning services in the religious school. She tutors B'nai Mitzvah students (both youth and adult), and leads Temple's Sinai’s musical programs including Kolot Sinai, the temple’s volunteer adult choir, RuJu, our youth choir, and Ruach , our musical ensemble. She regularly collaborates with song leader Scott Newman, accompanist Alex Ruvinstein and Ruach co-coordinators Kathy Storfer, Paul Storfer and Barbara Orwick. In addition to her cantorial endeavors, Cantor Micah also enjoys singing secular music, both in local community musical theater productions as well as with community choruses in the tri-state area. She and her family will welcome the birth of another baby in September.
