SoSTY

SoSTY (Sinai of Stamford Temple Youth)

The goals of North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) are simple - to instill Jewish identity, to increase synagogue participation among high school youth, to encourage long-term commitment to the ideals of Reform Judaism and to shape the Reform Jewish congregations of the future. SoSTY hopes to live up to these goals and values, and to make Temple Sinai a second home for Jewish teens in Stamford and surrounding areas.

If you have joined us in the past, or if you have never heard of SoSTY but can't wait to get involved in all the goings on, please contact Sarah Marion at studentrabbi@templesinaistamford.org.

Sosty programs include:

1. Social interaction of Jewish Teens
2. Social Justice and Tikkun Olam
3. Linking Students to Jewish History and Heritage
4. Jewish learning.

Many programs also involve Jr. SoSTY (grades 7-8)

Upcoming SoSTY programs for the year will include:

Midnight Run
Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless
Shul-in and Hannukah Carnival
Ski Trip and Winter Retreat (Slalom Rav)
Purim Carnival and Shul-in
New York City Trip
and more....
