Alexander Libman Nov. 07,2009 Raised money for the Mikey Czech Foundation.  This is a foundation that was set up in honor of a young boy in New Canaan that died last year from a brain tumor.  The foundation is dedicated to Pediatric brain tumor research.  Alexander organized a home run derby and dunk game and raised over $2,600.00.  Alexander is going down to the NYU Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer unit to host a pizza and ice cream party for all the children and their families in the unit.
Jessica Freedman Oct. 31,2009 Jessica will be singing classic Broadway favorites to residents at the Smith House.
Sean Burston Oct. 24,2009 Raised over $ 1,000 for the organization "kids in crisis". He did this by utilizing his talents as a springboard diver. He got people to pledge money for doing a certain dive. The harder the dive the greater the amount.
Talia Cohavi Oct. 17,2009 Talia ran a basketball clinic/games for her friends and raised $455.00 for Hoops 4 Hope.  Hoops 4 Hope is an organization that runs basketball programs for youth in South Africa and Zimbabwe.  They teach life skills through sports.
Rachael Klein Oct. 10,2009 Getting sponsors to giver her donations based on the number of jumps she can make in horseback riding.  She will donate the money to The March of Dimes.
Amelia Schwartz Oct. 10,2009 She was a youth volunteer at Stepping Stones Museum for Children.  She went through their training program and then worked several hours a seek this summer as a floor volunteer, helping to facilitate play and interaction with the exhibits.
Bennett Leeds Oct. 03,2009 Raised funds and awareness for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.  Through his performance in The Music Man shouting out to the audience and selling red ribbons at the upcoming Fiddler on the Roof he’ll reach his fund raising goal.
Coby Becker Oct. 03,2009 Volunteered 4 hours per day at the Bartlett Arboretum, weeding, planting, distributing wood chip mulch and working in the dirt.  It was a great opportunity for him to give back to the arboretum which has provided me with such enjoyment and learning.

Claire Cohen Apr. 25,2009 Claire will be raising money for the Simon Sharp Eagle Fund.  The fund supports families whose children are ill from cancer.  She will be swimming laps and have people donate to the fund based on the number of laps she swims.

Stephanie Thaler Apr. 04,2009 Raised money for PAWS (a non profit organization which is a shelter that helps find homes for dogs and cats). Raised the money and collected supplies at the Bar Mitzvah & Catfirmation at Temple Sinai.

Michael Gaizler Mar. 14,2009 Raised money for Kids in Crisis through a bake sale.  He purchased small suitcases and duffle bags that the children could use to bring their belongings home in.  He also bought and donated colorful sheets sets and comforters so the children would feel more comfortable during their stay.
Jenna Abrams Mar. 07,2009 Made and sold Boo Boo Bunnies.  All the money collected went to ARPKD, a rare genetic kidney disorder that affects boys and girls equally.

Joshua Silberfein Jan. 24,2009 Collected School Supplies to send to Rwanda.  Also sponsored the education of 2 orphans to attend high school for the coming year with money he received.
Amitan & Keren Rubin Jan. 17,2009 Amitan participated in the Friendship Circle which included group activities and meeting one on one with an autistic child on a weekly basis.  He is continuing this through High School.  He also skated with the Special Olympics helping the mentally challenged.  This is something he also may continue.
Keren put together comfort packages to deliver to Stamford Hospital.  The packages are to comfort those who are sitting vigil while a loved one is dying.  It includes a fleece throw; lavender lotion to put on patient’s hands, a small battery operated light and a pen and pad.
Matthew Granelli Jan. 10,2009 Raised money by having a bake sale for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.  TS is a disease that causes seizures.

Daniel Klingenstein Dec. 20,2008 Helped set up tents on Randall’s Island at the tent village for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk.  He wanted to walk the 26 miles, but he was too young.  He wanted to walk in honor of his mother, a breast cancer survivor.  Since he could not walk, he worked in the tent village with his sister and his mother and father did the walk and he was there waiting in the village when they finished.
Melanie Alswanger Dec. 13,2008 Made colorful string bracelets and sold them.  This money went to Kids in Crisis, which serves Fairfield County.

Jessica Blasnik Nov. 01,2008 Became a volunteer with the Stamford Sailing Foundation as a Young Mariner's teacher's aide.  This program provides underprivileged youth (primarily 4 and 5 graders) with educational experiences in the marine environment as well as the opportunity to learn to sail.  They meet weekly throughout the school year - right now they are leaning to swim.  They take classes with the Stamford Power and Sail Squadron to learn boating/water safety and the Maritime Aquarium to learn about marine animals.  She started this as a mitzvah project and has continued to volunteer weekly. This summer she hopes to assist with the Bluewater Bound program where they sail.
Samantha Lyman Oct. 25,2008 Had a tag sale to raise money in order to buy toys and items needed for Kids in Crisis in Greenwich
Jeremy Sessa Oct. 18,2008 Hosted a basketball event entitled “Be a Pal:  Shoot for the Cause.”  He raised money for The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN).  Be a PAL is FAAN’s symbol for Protect a Life, which is friends helping friends with food allergies.  Jeremy is allergic to peanuts and he raised $2,500.00 to donate to FAAN, who publicized Jeremy’s event in their national newsletter.
Gabrielle & Grant Frieser Oct. 11,2008 Sewed blankets for pre-mature babies and donated them to The Tiny Miracles Foundation.  They were then distributed to area hospitals.
Ross Alter Sep. 13,2008 Had a car wash to raise money for a Temple Sinai Fund for Hospice Care.  Raised approximately $3,000.
Karen Lob Sep. 13,2008 Raised money for Make a Wish Foundation which helped a Connecticut child go to Disneyland.
Scott Levene Aug. 07,2008 Raised money for Kick for Nick.
