Weddings
If you’ve landed on this page, it likely means that there is happiness in your family and that you’re looking ahead to celebrating together. We here at Temple Sinai want to send you our warmest, “Mazel Tov!” If you are looking for one of our clergy to help with officiation, you probably have a lot of questions for us and we would love to have that conversation with you.
If you have not already, we ask that you join the Temple Sinai family as members before you embark on your journey to the chuppah with Rabbi Jay or Cantor Micah. Your Rabbi or Cantor will spend time getting to know you so that you can stand in that sacred spot, joining your life to your partner's, with a trusted spiritual leader who knows you and rejoices with you.
Working closely with you, we will co-create your Jewish wedding. It will be the perfect balance of personalized meaning-making while honoring our sacred structures. Your ceremony will be rooted in ritual but will reflect your spirituality, beliefs and personality.
Resources
There are a lot of great books out there to help orient couples to the wonderful traditions of our community. Of course, you'll work with Rabbi Jay or Cantor Micah to decide which of these are right for you. One of our favorites is The New Jewish Wedding - by Anita Diamant.
Sometimes we don't have time to read a whole book and a few videos will get us the basics. Take a look here:
